"IF"

'If' "Jehovah is near to all those calling on him, To all who call on him in truth. He satisfies the desire of those who fear him; he hears their cry for help, and he rescues them." Ps. 145:18, 19. *** A billion 'what ifs' can and do fly as wicked debris spiral as a cyclone with clutter to attempt to darken a dawning sky of those who's psyche is toward 'truth' prone... needing 'real' answers to questions--'why'... *** If, in fact, the good news we declare is veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through. For we are preaching, not about ourselves, but about Jesus Christ as Lord . . . For God is the one who said: “Let the light shine out of darkness,” and he has shone on our hearts to illuminate them with the glorious knowledge of God by the face of Christ." 2 Cor. 4:3-5. *** Fantasy's entertaining in leisure. Time for wandering about without a destination is not now... Hear mankind's 'cry'... "For we know that all creation keeps on groaning together and being in pain together until now." Rom. 8:22. 'Non-fiction' on a day of 'testing' may not be one's pleasure but the year of 'good will' is fast ending. The 'day of vengeance' is approaching to take full stock of mankind's measure... "This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ." John 17:3. *** "The spirit of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah is upon me, Because Jehovah anointed me to declare good news to the meek. He sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And the wide opening of the eyes to the prisoners, To proclaim the year of Jehovah’s goodwill And the day of vengeance of our God, To comfort all who mourn". Isa. 61:1, 2. *** "Then Jesus came from Galʹi·lee to the Jordan to John, in order to be baptized by him." "After being baptized, Jesus immediately came up from the water; and look! the heavens were opened up, and he (John) saw God’s spirit descending like a dove and coming upon him. Look! Also, a voice from the heavens said: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.”" Matt. 3:13, 16. *** "So the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him, (Jesus) and he opened the scroll and found the place where it was written: “Jehovah’s spirit is upon me, because he anointed me to declare good news to the poor. He sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and a recovery of sight to the blind, to send the crushed ones away free, to preach Jehovah’s acceptable year.” With that he rolled up the scroll, handed it back to the attendant, and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were intently fixed on him. Then he began to say to them: “Today this scripture that you just heard is fulfilled.”" Luke 4:17-21. *** Jesus soon will: "Ride in the cause of truth". Ps. 45:4. "Then the kings of the earth, the high officials, the military commanders, the rich, the strong, every slave, and every free person hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. And they keep saying to the mountains and to the rocks: “Fall over us and hide us from the face of the One seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb, because the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” "as he brings vengeance on those who do not know God and those who do not obey the good news about our Lord Jesus." Rev. 6:15-17. *** "As for the wicked, they will be cut off from the earth, And the treacherous will be torn away from it." Prov. 2:22. "The sinners will vanish from the earth, And the wicked will no longer exist. Let me praise Jehovah. Praise Jah!" Ps. 104:35.
