Paul's and Peter's Warnings plus Reminders for Peace

"Be peaceable with one another." 1 Thess. 5:13.

"The wisdom from above is first of all pure,

then peaceable,

reasonable,... full of mercy

and good fruits,

impartial,

not hypocritical." James 3:17.

***

"Brothers,

do not become young children

in your understanding,

but be young children as to badness;

and become full-grown

in your understanding." 1 Cor. 14:20.

"We should no longer be children,

tossed about... by means of the trickery of men,

by means of cunning

in deceptive schemes." Eph. 4:14.

What did Paul to the Romans say:

"Your obedience has come to the notice of all,

and so I rejoice over you.

But I want you to be wise

as to what is good,

but innocent as to what is evil." Rom. 16:19.

"God is a God not of disorder

but of peace." 1 Cor. 14:33.

"Let all things take place decently". 1 Cor. 14:40.

"Continue to rejoice, to be readjusted, to be comforted,

to think in agreement, to live peaceably;

and the God of love and of peace

will be with you." 2 Cor. 13:11.

"For “whoever would love life and see good days

must guard his tongue from bad

and his lips from speaking deception.

Let him turn away from what is bad

and do what is good;

let him seek peace and pursue it.

For the eyes of Jehovah are on the righteous,

and his ears listen to their supplication,

but the face of Jehovah*

is against those doing bad things.

Indeed, who will harm you

if you become zealous for what is good?

But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness,

you are happy.”

"Maintain a good conscience,

so that in whatever way you are spoken against,

those who speak against you may be put to shame

because of your good conduct

as followers of Christ.

For it is better to suffer because you are doing good,

if it is God’s will to allow it,

than because you are doing evil." 1 Pet. 3:10-14, 16, 17.

So: "Let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or a wrongdoer

or a busybody in other people’s matters.

But if anyone suffers as a Christian,

let him not feel ashamed,

but let him keep on glorifying God

while bearing this name.

For it is the appointed time for the judgment to start

with the house of God.

Now if it starts first with us,

what will the outcome be for those who are not obedient to the good news of God?

“And if the righteous man is being saved with difficulty,

what will happen to the ungodly man and the sinner?”

So, then, let those who are suffering in harmony with the will of God keep on entrusting themselves to a faithful Creator

while they are doing good." 1 Pet. 4:15-19.

Young ones, Satan will try to prevent you from making further spiritual progress. One way he may do that is by raising doubts in your mind about some of the Bible’s teachings. For example, sooner or later you will come across the God-dishonoring theory of evolution. You may have given little or no thought to the subject when you were younger, but now that you are older, perhaps you are confronted with it directly in school. What your teachers say in support of evolution may seem logical and convincing. However, they may have never seriously considered the evidence of the existence of a Creator. Remember the principle found at Proverbs 18:17: “The first to state his case seems right, until the other party comes and cross-examines him.” Instead of blindly accepting ideas that you hear at school as fact, carefully consider the truths found in God’s Word, the Bible and in our publications.
