'A Daybreak' "Light has flashed up for the righteous And rejoicing for those upright in heart." Ps. 97:11. "To the upright he shines like a light in the darkness. He is compassionate and merciful and righteous." Ps. 112:4. Yes! "The path of the righteous is like the bright morning light That grows brighter and brighter until full daylight." Prov. 4:18. "And the light of the full moon will become like the light of the sun; and the light of the sun will become seven times stronger, like the light of seven days, in the day that Jehovah binds up the breakdown of his people and heals the severe wound from the blow he inflicted." Isa. 30:26. "Some were living in deepest darkness, Prisoners in affliction and in irons." Ps. 107:10. But, "The people who were walking in the darkness Have seen a great light. As for those dwelling in the land of deep shadow, Light has shone on them." Isa. 9:2. "The people sitting in darkness saw a great light, and as for those sitting in a region of deathly shadow, light rose on them.” Matt. 4:16. *** "When he came ashore, he saw a large crowd, and he felt pity for them, and he cured their sick ones." Matt. 14:14. Yes, "Jesus set out on a tour of all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news of the Kingdom and curing every sort of disease and every sort of infirmity. On seeing the crowds, he felt pity for them, because they were skinned and thrown about like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples: “Yes, the harvest is great, but the workers are few. Therefore, beg the Master of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.”" Matt. 9:35-38. "However, how will they call on him if they have not put faith in him? How, in turn, will they put faith in him about whom they have not heard? How, in turn, will they hear without someone to preach? How, in turn, will they preach unless they have been sent out?" Rom. 10:14, 15. "Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”" Matt. 28:19, 10. *** "How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the one bringing good news, The one proclaiming peace, The one bringing good news of something better, The one proclaiming salvation, The one saying to Zion: “Your God has become King!”" Isa. 52:7. Prophesied: "give knowledge of salvation to his people by forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender compassion of our God. With this compassion a daybreak will visit us on high, to give light to those sitting in darkness and death’s shadow and to guide our feet in the way of peace.”" Luke 1:77-79. Jehovah loves our brothers and sisters. But we may not always find it easy to feel and express love for members of our spiritual family. After all, we come from many different cultures and backgrounds. And we all make mistakes that can frustrate and disappoint others. Still, we can contribute to the love of our spiritual family. How? By imitating our Father in showing love to our brothers and sisters. (Eph. 5:1, 2; 1 John 4:19) A compassionate person looks for ways to provide help and comfort. By the way he treated people, Jesus reflected Jehovah’s concern for them. (John 5:19) When seeing a crowd on one occasion, Jesus “felt pity for them, because they were skinned and thrown about like sheep without a shepherd.” (Matt. 9:36) Jesus’ compassion went beyond warm feelings.
