'Jehovah's Day' (Based upon 1 Thessalonians 5)
'Jehovah's Day' (Based upon 1 Thessalonians 5) "The great day of Jehovah is near! It is near and it is approaching very quickly! The sound of the day of Jehovah is bitter. There a warrior cries out." Zeph. 1:14. "The night is well along; the day has drawn near. Let us therefore throw off the works belonging to darkness and let us put on the weapons of the light." Rom. 13:12. "For this reason take up the complete suit of armor from God, so that you may be able to resist in the wicked day and, after you have accomplished everything, to stand firm." Eph. 6:13. Yes: "as for us who belong to the day, let us keep our senses and put on the breastplate of faith and love and the hope of salvation as a helmet". 1 Thess. 5:8. *** Upon us from cycling suns and varied moons: 'times and the seasons,' to end 'suddenly' soon for a new day to begin our eternal joy which can forever bubble over or eternally bloom: "For you yourselves know very well that Jehovah’s day is coming exactly as a thief in the night." If not watching and waiting what peril in sight... 1 Thess. 5:2. We can speculate into the far future thinking we 'must' be right allowing our 'faith' to wan. Lessening our 'fight' to do 'whole-souled' victorious 'right'...
“But know one thing: If the householder had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have kept awake and not allowed his house to be broken into." Matt. 24:43. But Jehovah’s day will come as a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar," (these "ruling powers, which are elevated above their subjects." Over ungodly society... And then: 'Suddenly' no more...) *** "You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to the heavens. Above the stars of God I will lift up my throne, And I will sit down on the mountain of meeting, In the remotest parts of the north. I will go up above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself resemble the Most High.’" Isa. 14:13, 14. As by the whole world seen done to ancient Babylon's notorious king, 'Babylon the Great' too will experience 'destruction' in 'one hour' her fate will not be ignored. Today's survivors of her extremes will too say or will joyfully sing: "‘Have you also become weak like us? Have you become like us? Down to the Grave your pride has been brought, The sound of your stringed instruments. Maggots are spread beneath you as a bed, And worms are your covering.’ How you have fallen from heaven, O shining one, son of the dawn! How you have been cut down to the earth, You who vanquished nations!" Isa. 14:10-12. *** Yes too: "the elements being intensely hot will be dissolved, and earth and the works in it will be exposed." 2 Pet. 3:10. *** "Look! The day of Jehovah is coming, Cruel both with fury and with burning anger, To make the land an object of horror, And to annihilate the land’s sinners from it." Isa. 13:9. "Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to save them in the day of Jehovah’s fury; For by the fire of his zeal the whole earth will be consumed, Because he will make an extermination, indeed a terrible one, of all the inhabitants of the earth.”" Zeph. 1:18. Why admonished: “But pay attention to yourselves that your hearts never become weighed down with overeating and heavy drinking and anxieties of life, and suddenly that day be instantly upon you'." Luke 21:34. “Look! I am coming as a thief. Happy is the one who stays awake and keeps his outer garments". Rev. 16:15. "Stay awake, stand firm in the faith, carry on in a manly way, grow mighty." 1 Cor. 16:13. Yes: “Keep on the watch, therefore, because you know neither the day nor the hour." Matt. 15:13. "Keep your senses, be watchful! Your adversary, the Devil, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking to devour someone." 1 Pet. 5:8. "Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more; You will look at where they were, And they will not be there." Ps. 37:10. *** "Whenever it is that they are saying, “Peace and security!” then sudden destruction is to be instantly on them, just like birth pains on a pregnant woman, and they will by no means escape." 1 Thess. 5:3.
What Is the Battle of Armageddon? https://www.jw.org/en/bible-teachings/questions/battle-of-armageddon/ To the extent that you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.—Matt. 25:40. “The sheep” in the parable found at Matthew 25:31-36 represent righteous ones in the time of the end who have the earthly hope—that is, the other sheep. They loyally support the remaining ones of Christ’s spirit-anointed brothers primarily by helping them do the worldwide preaching and disciple-making work. (Matt. 24:14; 28:19, 20) Every year in the weeks leading up to the Memorial, the other sheep show their support for Christ’s brothers by sharing fully in a global campaign to invite interested ones to the Memorial. They also help make all the necessary arrangements so that the Memorial can be held in every congregation worldwide. The other sheep are thrilled to support Christ’s brothers in such ways. These sheep know that Jesus views what they do for his anointed brothers as if they were doing it for him personally.—Matt. 25:37-40.
