Marching On. . . 21st Century Love During a Time of Violence: Wayne & Sabrina (27)
Marching On. . . 21st Century Love During a Time of Violence: Wayne & Sabrina (27)

Wayne walked back into his Father's home
without Sabrina, feeling quite alone
when Mr. Kang appeared
on the elaborate staircase
to belittle Wayne with his aggressive stare
and bombastic words for the servants to hear:
"I can imagine; knew where you'd be.
Back begging that pathetic immigrant 'she'
to return to you and all that you see,"
as he waved his arm to and fro
regarding his wealth and prosperity.
Disregarding a well-known fact
that all fore-parents on this land
were not born here.
So a lack of hospitality is a 'loveless' act.
And thoughtless speech is 'uncouth'
and shows a lack of tact...
Wayne spun on his heels
to his steps retract.
Back to Sabrina to beg her pardon
as to a judge lenient.
For Sabrina showed love and mercy
like her Father.
And Wayne needed her support
to lead a life productive.
Always he felt that against him
the decks were deadly stacked...
Words to Self: Go In Peace
https://allpoetry.com/story/17385171-Words-to-Self---Go-In-Peace--by-Seah-Ray
Flickering flames hot
of orange and red
raged between
my heart and head
crippled
forward moves
with feet of lead
until learned
to walk in peace.
Yes:
"Go in peace."
2 Kings 5:19.
Now:
Straight ahead...
***
"May the God who gives hope
fill you with all joy and peace
by your trusting in him,
so that you may abound
in hope
with power of holy spirit.”
Rom. 15:13.
Since:
"Jehovah is waiting patiently
to show you favor,
And he will rise up
to show you mercy.
For Jehovah is a God of justice.
Happy are all those
keeping
in expectation
of him."
Isaiah 30:18.
Be 'Sound in Mind'?
https://allpoetry.com/story/17362319-Be--Sound-in-Mind---by-Seah-Ray
"Pride is before a crash,
And a haughty spirit before stumbling."
"When presumptuousness comes,
dishonor will follow,
But wisdom
is with the modest ones." Prov. 16:18; 11:2.
***
Did someone say: 'Sensible'
aloud?
Who would even dare lean to whisper it?
Surely that's considered 'mean'
enough to incite a crowd
into stampede;
like in a bull rush
when people are trampled
and innocent blood gushes
into pavement cracks--between?
Hush!
Hush!
Responsible?
Reasonable?
Reliable?
I want to scream!
Who needs practical?
Logical?
Levelheaded
in this spiraling 'system of things'
as cyclones circle,
winds, homes hurl,
and floods into streets stream?
Shouldn't God intervene
although, didn't He say Be:
"hospitable, a lover of goodness,
sound in mind,
righteous, loyal, self-controlled"? Titus 1:8.
For: "the end of all things has drawn close.
Therefore,
be
sound in mind,
and be vigilant
with a view to prayers.
Above all things,
have intense love
for one another,
because love
covers
a multitude of sins.
Be hospitable
to one another
without grumbling." 1 Pet. 4:7-9.
Because: "The generous person
will prosper,
And whoever refreshes others
will himself be
refreshed." Prov. 11:25.

"For it is written:
“I will make the wisdom of the wise men
perish,
and the intelligence of the intellectuals
I will reject.”" 1 Cor. 1:19.
As Wayne decided to head his wife's way,
Sabrina herself, to her parent, had wise words to say:
"Mom, I do understand
that to you 'hatred' was displayed,
but you'd made a change.
Don't go back to being 'unhappy'
when you a gained a 'hope' that is so near.
Don't become distracted
for it will not be further delayed..."
Let Us Let Our Love Grow
https://allpoetry.com/story/17391938-Let-Us-Let-Our-Love-Grow-by-Seah-Ray
Let us let our love grow
you know, like an avalanche
of snow
in speed and growth
consuming all whom we know
and don't know.
Still, let our love flow.
Let us let our love show
you know, as raging floodwaters
to go
into cracks and crevices
to kindness bestow
upon friends and families
and upon displaced races feeling 'low'.
Let us let our love glow
as from the 'heavens'
you know, as the 'sun' and 'moon'
causes tides and rains to cycle
or web-and-flow
with 'seasons of refreshing'*
rendered rapidly; not slow.

“You heard that it was said:
‘You must love your neighbor
and hate your enemy.’
However, I say to you:
Continue to love your enemies
and to pray for those who persecute you,
so that you may prove yourselves sons of your Father
who is in the heavens,
since he makes his sun rise
on both the wicked and the good
and makes it rain
on both the righteous and the unrighteous.
For if you love those loving you,
what reward do you have?
Are not also the tax collectors doing the same thing?
And if you greet your brothers only,
what extraordinary thing are you doing?
Are not also the people of the nations
doing the same thing?
You must accordingly be perfect,
as your heavenly Father is perfect." Matt. 5:43-48.
"Therefore, become imitators of God,
as beloved children,
and go on walking in love,
just as the Christ also loved us
and gave himself for us
as an offering and a sacrifice,
a sweet fragrance
to God." Eph. 5:1, 2.
"Continue being merciful,
just as your Father is merciful." Luke 6:36.
"For the one who does not practice mercy
will have his judgment
without mercy.
Mercy triumphs over judgment." James 2:13... To Be Cont'd

“‘If a foreigner resides with you in your land,
you must not mistreat him.
The foreigner who resides with you
should become to you like a native among you;
and you must love him as yourself,
for you were foreign residents in the land of Egypt.
I am Jehovah your God." Lev. 19:33, 34.
