'Stand Firm'

'Stand Firm' "Wisdom makes a wise man more powerful than ten strong men in a city. For there is no righteous man on earth who always does good and never sins." Eccl. 7:19, 20. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". Rom. 3:23. "“Come, now, and let us set matters straight between us,” says Jehovah. “Though your sins are like scarlet, They will be made as white as snow; Though they are as red as crimson cloth, They will become like wool. If you show willingness and listen, You will eat the good things of the land. But if you refuse and rebel, You will be devoured by the sword, For the mouth of Jehovah has spoken it.”" Isa. 1:18-20. *** "The God of gods, Jehovah, has spoken; He summons the earth From the rising of the sun until its setting." Ps. 50:1. “For look! the day is coming, burning like a furnace, when all the presumptuous ones and all those practicing wickedness will become like stubble. The coming day will certainly devour them,” says Jehovah of armies, “and it will leave them neither root nor branch." Mal. 4:1. *** "Do they feel ashamed of the detestable things they have done? They feel no shame at all! They do not even know how to feel humiliated! So they will fall among the fallen. When I bring punishment on them they will stumble,” says Jehovah." Jer. 6:15. *** For: "All of a man’s ways seem right to him, But Jehovah examines the motives. Commit to Jehovah whatever you do, And your plans will succeed. Jehovah has made everything work for his purpose, Even the wicked for the day of disaster." Prov. 16:1-4. Take Pharaoh for example as I do you implore: Jehovah of Armies said: "I will allow Pharʹaoh’s heart to become obstinate, and he will chase after them, and I will glorify myself by means of Pharʹaoh and all his army; and the Egyptians will certainly know that I am Jehovah.” So that is what they did." Ex. 14:4. Initially, they felt no dread. Yet: "Does not the potter have authority over the clay to make from the same lump one vessel for an honorable use, another for a dishonorable use?" Rom. 9:21. Free-will allows a person to fight or to be humbly led... "Everyone proud in heart is detestable to Jehovah. Be assured that he will not go unpunished." Prov. 16:5. Yes: "Pride is before a crash, And a haughty spirit before stumbling." Prov. 16:18. "When presumptuousness comes, dishonor will follow, But wisdom is with the modest ones." "Insight is a fountain of life to those possessing it, But fools are disciplined by their own foolishness." Prov. 11:2, 22. *** So: "Before the decree takes effect, Before the day passes by like chaff, Before the burning anger of Jehovah comes upon you, Before the day of Jehovah’s anger comes upon you, Seek Jehovah, all you meek ones of the earth, Who observe his righteous decrees. Seek righteousness, seek meekness. Probably you will be concealed on the day of Jehovah’s anger." Zeph. 2:2, 3. If we: "Go on acquiring power in the Lord and in the mightiness of his strength. Put on the complete suit of armor from God so that you may be able to stand firm against the crafty acts of the Devil; because we have a struggle, not against blood and flesh, but against the governments, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the wicked spirit forces in the heavenly places. For this reason take up the complete suit of armor from God, so that you may be able to resist in the wicked day and, after you have accomplished everything, to stand firm." Eph. 6:10-13.

Pride is before a crash, and a haughty spirit before stumbling.—Prov. 16:18. Satan wants us to develop an unbalanced sense of pride. He knows that if we allow improper pride to dominate us, we will become like him and lose out on gaining everlasting life. Accordingly, the apostle Paul warned that a person might “get puffed up with pride and fall into the judgment passed on the Devil.” (1 Tim. 3:6, 7) That could happen to any one of us, whether we are new in the truth or we have been serving Jehovah for many years. Pride is a form of selfishness. Satan tries to get us to be selfish, to focus more on ourselves than on Jehovah, especially when we face a challenge. For example, have you been falsely accused? Or have you been treated unjustly? Satan would love to see you blame Jehovah or your brothers. And the Devil wants you to think that the only remedy is to do things your own way rather than to follow the guidance Jehovah gives you in his Word.—Eccl. 7:16, 20. w21.06 15 ¶4-5 Photo credit: https://previews.agefotostock.com/previewimage/medibigoff/64be922b6d5bb6dfe5d3fac4a02348a1/esy-025773589.jpg https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.biblestudytools.com%2Fbible-stories%2Fcrossing-the-red-sea-bible-story.html&psig=AOvVaw09UD7EDCTxxLqMsaeqJpjM&ust=1681997296775000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=0CBAQjRxqFwoTCOj1iLiGtv4CFQAAAAAdAAAAABAI © 1 hour ago, Lucretia McCloud society teen sad pain love death
