Stormy Seas Sailed Sagely
Squalls befall all humanity.
Gusts of adversity spinning our tails into frigid retreat.
Seeking caves or hulls down to weather each storm
wondering why God permitted us to be born
as we toss our insides out to slip and slide on our meals digested
initially enjoyed
now disgusted by what we secretly did imbibe: works of the flesh "plainly seen, . . . sexual immorality, uncleanness, brazen conduct, idolatry, spiritism, hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, dissensions, divisions, sects, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and things like these."
But: "When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.”
For with evil things God cannot be tried, nor does he himself try anyone." Weather a ruler or indigent
we need to pride swallow, after actions or words heard; often spoken brash, rash, without humility... Spouted into winds. Flung back with force, though empty, hollow... Rescinded. Without results worthwhile performed. Without sails lovingly mended.
Pretended, sometimes, a sense of camaraderie. A crew. A brotherhood. Although, isolation's preferred. No need of associations helpful; avoided selfishly because global harmony unity imbues.
Otherwise we inadvertently or deliberately follow threatening skies
comprised of shadows, horrors from a father of intractable lies:
"the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one." Despising righteousness. Demanding servitude under all manner of Halloween-type disguise with men delighted to cause others, their faith to compromise: "For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.
And no wonder, for Satan himself keeps disguising himself as an angel of light. It is therefore nothing extraordinary if his ministers also keep disguising themselves as ministers of righteousness. But their end will be according to their works."
Unless, changed a disastrous course... Yes, "During all their distress it was distressing to him. And his own personal messenger saved them. In his love and compassion he repurchased them, and he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old"
Yet, the majority "rebelled and grieved his holy spirit. He then turned into their enemy, and he fought against them." They can never win... But his 'friends' he'll remember and save soon. By means of his Kingdom and a ransom He gave.
